About

I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy and the Director of the Ethics and Public Affairs Program at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2008, having written my dissertation under the supervision of Joseph Heath, Gopal Sreenivasan, and Frank Cunningham.

My teaching and research address the moral limits of markets, and particularly markets involving the human body. My work explores the extent to which the concepts of commodification and exploitation can provide justifiable grounds on which to defend and implement market regulation.
